Hello, I'm Austin Tofte, the sole creator behind the band Swimming With Dolphins.It's been over 2 years since the release of my last album, Water Colours. Not only am I incredibly overdue to release an album, but I've also never been more sure that I need to create & share with the world something far greater musically than anything I have so far.
Words cannot express how grateful I am for all of you who have supported Swimming With Dolphins along the way. Without all of you, none of what I do would matter & none of what I do would be possible! After all, what is music without a listener?
That is exactly why I need each and everyone of you right now, more than ever...
Making an album is expensive & extremely time consuming.
To successfully make "Catharsis" the living, breathing thing that I envision it as, I need, at the very least, $12,000 to pay for things like this:
Travel expenses for musicians
Mixing/Mastering
Studio rental time
Album art/design
Pressing of posters, CD's, merchandise to support the release.
Marketing
Pizza
I've taken some time & thought up some clever perks to choose from when donating. In addition, I hope you all enjoyed the teaser music video featuring some VERY old SWD tour footage. :) Your contribution really matters. If we don't meet the goal, I am not sure when there will be an album. I'm eager to devote all of my energy to the making of this album, but without the proper funding, I won't be able to afford taking the time off of work & independently saving for something like this could take years.
It's not just about the money...
I know there are a lot of listeners out there who can't afford to give anything, but that doesn't mean you can't help. The more people that know about this campaign, the better possibility of us meeting our goal. So, please, spread the word!
